Overview
Course Description and Intended Audience
The Minnesota Breast Imaging Review Course is a postgraduate medical course that provides radiologists with up-to-date information on the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease. Didactic lectures include information on generally accepted practices, as well as new trends and emerging techniques in breast imaging. A collegial learning environment is provided during question/answer sessions and conference breaks where attendees and faculty have an opportunity to interact and share their knowledge.
The Minnesota Breast Imaging Review Course is a postgraduate course designed to update the breast imaging radiologist on generally accepted imaging practices, as well as new trends and emerging techniques in breast imaging.
This course is provided in collaboration with the University of Minnesota.
Course Learning Objectives
Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

Summarize the role of the radiologist in the pre-surgical comprehensive diagnostic evaluation

Describe the importance of breast arterial calcifications

Examine new imaging markers of breast cancer risk

Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs)
Two Self-Assessment Modules (SAMs), worth 1.25 SAM credit each, qualified by the American Board of Radiology in meeting the criteria for self-assessment toward the purpose of fulfilling requirements in the ABR Maintenance of Certification Program under Mayo Clinic’s ABR deemed status are offered at this course for a maximum of 2.5 SAM credit hours.
