Course Description

Ultrasound Research Center Hybrid Symposium: Transforming Patient Care with Ultrasound will focus on new scientific and clinical advances using ultrasound imaging and ultrasound-based measurements. Multidisciplinary research will be showcased. Opportunities will be given to share scientific advancements and facilitate collaboration among scientists and clinicians across the institutions. This course will also focus on transforming patient care with ultrasound.

In addition to offering live attendance, this course will also be offered as a Hybrid option where external attendees can attend virtually via Zoom.

Intended Audience

Mayo Clinic physicians, scientists, residents, fellows, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and sonographers who are engaged in ultrasound research, clinical practice innovation, education or policy change.

Course Learning Objectives

Upon conclusion of this program, participants should be able to:

• Discuss the benefits of advanced ultrasound imaging in improving early detection of cancer
• Review contrast-enhanced abdominal ultrasound (CEUS)
• Analyze quantitative ultrasound imaging biomarkers for management of NAFLD
