The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua, Maui is a luxury resort located on the northwest corner of the island of Maui in Hawaii. Lodging Accommodations

Guest rooms have been reserved for attendees and their guests at a special course rate. 

• Fairmont Garden View Rooms: $529/night plus taxes and fees
• Partial Ocean View Rooms: $579/night plus taxes and fees
• Ocean View Rooms: $629/night plus taxes and fees

Radiology CME kindly requests attendees limit the number of guest rooms reserved to a single room, when possible.  Please contact our CME office (Radiology CME@mayo.edu) to inquire about the availability of additional rooms, should you need more than one room.  To receive these special rates, reservations must be made on or before Friday, December 15, 2028, and will be based on availability.  Reservations made after this date will be based on space and rate availability.

Please note that the hotel often reaches full occupancy several months ahead of the course, so we strongly encourage you to book your hotel reservations as early as possible.

Reservations can be made by calling the hotel directly at 808-885-2000. If you call the hotel to make a reservation, please identify yourself as a Mayo Clinic 2029 Radiation Oncology Course participant.  The special group rate reservations must be made on or before Friday, December 15, 2028, and will be based on availability. Reservations will be taken following this date based on space and rate availability. The special group rate is offered Saturday, January 9 to Saturday, January 15, 2029.  Group rate offered three (3) days pre and three (3) days post the Group's main program dates, based on contracted guestroom types at the time of request. Children sharing  a room with their parents are complimentary through age 17 years.

Hotel room rates are for single or double occupancy and are subject to applicable state and local taxes in effect at the time of check-out.  Additional fees will apply for triple/quad occupancy.

There is a reduced daily resort fee of $35.00 per room, per night, plus tax. The resort fee will cover several amenities, which include:

• Unlimited basic WiFi access in guest rooms and public areas (ALL members receive an upgrade to premium speed internet access)
• Wellness classes (please see our weekly complimentary wellness offerings at the Spa Without Walls)
• Complimentary shuttle bus service within the Mauna Lani Resort area (excluding group movements)
• Branded reusable water bottle for each registered guest per stay, to be filled at purified water stations located through the resort
• Coffee and tea service in the lobby between 5:00 a.m. and 6:30 a.m.
• Hawaiian Cultural Classes & Resort Activities (please see our weekly activity schedule at the Concierge)
• Lei greeting upon arrival
• Snorkel equipment rental for one hour (available to each guest, per day - resort use only). Guests who purchase Fun & Sun passes may sign out snorkel equipment multiple times per day.
• Pool amenities (sunscreen and fruit service).
• 45-minute photo session with Pacific Dream Photography. Reservations required. Photos available for purchase.
• Unlimited North America Long Distance Calls (Canada & America).

Experiences exclusive to hotel guests include the following:

• Story telling sessions which share the legends and lore unique to the Island of Hawai'i (weekly)
• Hui Holokai Beach Club Activities (subject to change based on the time and day) including hula lessons, Canoe Paddling and coconut palm frond weaving
• Special seasonal activities and resort programming (please see seasonal activity guide and resort guide)

GUARANTEED RESERVATIONS
All reservations must be accompanied by a deposit  equal to two (2) night's room and tax guaranteed with a major credit card, personal check, or a money order. The hotel will not hold any reservations unless secured by one of the above methods.

SHORTENED RESERVATIONS
Individual reservations where the original reservation dates have been shortened up to 30 days prior to arrival will be accepted, and the deposit refunded for those rooms for up to two (2) full night’s stay. For reservations shortened within 30 days prior to arrival, individuals will be responsible for 100% of room revenue, per the original reservation, to be billed to the individual credit card on file.  Such refunds shall not alter, release or negate your obligations under the Room Block Section of this agreement.  

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation of individual reservations made up to 30 days prior to arrival will be accepted, and the deposit refunded for those rooms for the full night's stay.  For reservations cancelled within 30 days prior to arrival, individuals will be responsible for 100% of room revenue and be billed to the individual credit card on file. 

BAGGAGE HANDLING (PORTERAGE) SERVICE CHARGES AND MAID GRATUITY
Please note that Baggage handling (Porterage) and Maid Gratuity charges are not included in the above room rates. Porterage: $12.00 per person, round-trip, and Maid Gratuity: $3.00 per room, per day. 

Hotel check-in time is 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival, and check-out time is before 11:00 a.m. on the day of departure.

Travel & Ground Transportation

The Kona International Airport (KOA) is 22.4 miles from the Fairmont Orchid, Hawaii hotel and is located on the Kohala Coast. Travel time is approximately 29-34 minutes via Queen Kaahumanu Highway #19.

• Taxi's are available at approximately $60-$80+ (subject to surge, peak, or late-night rates)
• All major rental car companies are represented on Hawaii.

• The hotel does not provide shuttle service
